I mean, how much difference does one seat make to the Bloc right now? How much difference does it really make to the Liberals for that matter? I dont foresee much of a contrast between the pre and post-by-election parliament.
How does Idlout’s crossing affect the odds here? I could see arguments both ways, on one hand the Liberals can no longer say they need the seat for a majority, but the Bloc also can’t say they’re trying to stop a majority.
Regardless, I don’t think it will affect the unfathomable amount of resources they’re going to put into the seat. The Liberals didn’t put many resources here during the general election, and I expect that to change.
For the Liberals, it’d still be great to have an extra buffer on their upcoming majority so they don’t have to rely on the Speaker each time.
