The US has already wasted $11 billion in the first week. Meanwhile, Putin made an extra $6 billion from rising oil prices. We are effectively funneling US taxpayer money straight to Russia and oil oligarchs. But I guess MAGA is happy with that! Make America Gutted Again.

The stupidity is insane. Russian sanctions never really reduced the supply significantly, it was diverted to ’neutral‘ markets like India and China etc, ending up in the global supply chain still, but Russia has to sell at a discount.
Now without sanction, supply won’t increase much, but higher price is free gift to Putin.

About the best hope is supply of weapons and targeting information for Ukraine to strike their oil terminals and refineries. Vladivostok can’t put out nearly as much oil as Western Russia so it’s still vulnerable.
