      Even if the US leaves the fight, I don’t see Iran going back to business as usual.  They want to punish the whole world for taking out their supreme leader.

      Inflation caused by COVID was blamed squarely on Biden yet less than half the country is willing to admit the Pedophile in Chief has actually almost single handedly caused oil and thus everything else to jump in price, what a fucking dumb country.

      The % is low because a ton of MAGA leans on when the left (accurately) reminded them that POTUS doesn’t generally influence gas prices. The issue then becomes that right wingers are *really fucking bad at comparisons*, and can’t see that Trump starting a war with a major producer of oil is not at all the same as their claim against Biden. MAGA IQ is just that fucking low.

      It’s absolutely shocking that so many people still don’t understand gas prices. This is one instance where the current president can be blamed for the gas prices.

      Yeah, this is a manufactured consent piece. There’s no way that it’s under 50%. Even on pure party lines, not one left leaning person would blame anyone else but Trump. It’s trying to muddy the blame to be one of those things that just happens and can’t really be laid at the feet of one person.

      This dumbass motherfucker just opened up the strategic petroleum reserves and told them to empty half of it. Seriously go look it up. It’s at like 58% capacity and this dumbass motherfucker said “let’s drain half of it to bring the gas prices down”. Holy fucking shit we are so fucked!!! Can you imagine draining the entire half of all of our reserves of oil?

      Normally I would say that the President doesn’t affect gas prices.

      However, it is pretty obvious that starting a senseless war in the Persian Gulf would cause oil to spike.

      How can 52% of Americans not see this?

      48% seems low until you factor in things like the MAGAssholes in Washington State and their manufactured outrage at Governor Bob Ferguson over high gas prices instead of, oh, I don’t know, BEING MAD AT THE GUY WHO STARTED THE WAR IN IRAN THAT IS RESULTING IN OIL TANKERS BEING BLOWN UP.

      It’s embarassing being from the eastern side of this state.

      I can see it now for the ones that blame Biden. “You see it’s Biden’s fault for forcing Trump to bomb Iran. Which in turn forced Iran to cut off the Strait of Hormuz. I can’t believe Biden did all this. Trump is the only one who can save us now. Anyways I have to go fill up my F-350. Let’s go Brandon!”

      The President doesn’t control gas prices, but in this specific case he is directly responsible for the increase. Unlike Biden, Trump deserves 100% of the blame for the current situation.

      There is no version of reality where this isn’t as true as 1 plus 1 equals 2. Just framing it this way as if there’s some opinion based possibility it isn’t the direct result of the strait of hormuz closing from his illegal war crime with no congressional authorization is corruption in journalism.
