I was getting tons of ads from official Turkish Airlines on Instagram, and they were written in Armenian.

Maybe this will force other airlines to lower their prices.

A few weeks ago, I had read the topic here about the California–Yerevan flights by Turkish Airlines, and the diaspora was not happy at all and wanted to boycott them. I have the impression that there is a disconnect between the diaspora (especially the one in the USA) and Armenians living in the country, since they seem to be satisfied with the situation. Is that just an impression, or am I wrong?

Wonder if this will make it substantially cheaper to fly to Yerevan from the UK. The direct flights aren’t really cheaper when you include baggage, but its cheap to get to Turkey and then I assume it wont cost much to get to Yerevan from there. Although I would prefer to not use Turkish Airlines.

But they’ll still lock you up if you mention the genocide in Turkey. So much for „normalisation“.

Pretty big step. Direct flights from LAX have been crucially needed for such a long time.
