In my humble opinion, you need to have controlled Rome at least once in your existence to claim Roman inheritance

    2. Am I the only one bothered by the fact that these two maps have a different zoom and are annoying to compare?
A little more effort would have been nice.

    3. I think you should have used the same map section. It would make it easier to compare.

I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be considered The Roman Empire part 3. Is it because they were muslims? The original Roman Empire was Pagan. Roman Empire part 2 was Christian Rome, where people were forced to worship the god of Israel through Jesus as The Messiah/Christ.

The Ottoman Empire seemed to be closer to the original Pagan Roman Empire than The Christian Roman Empire. At least people were allowed to worship other gods without a death penalty, and men did not get the death penalty based on gender, just for being with another man instead of a woman. Theodosian Codes in Christian Rome was a cultural replacement of Greco-Roman culture.

Why show the empire under Justinian? Why not show the empire under Trajan, when it included the rest of Europe? Seems like you’re trying to represent it so Suleiman doesn’t appear as self aggrandizing as he really was.
No Ottoman was ever Caesar, regardless of what they may have wanted to pretend. Grabbing a fraction of an empire doesn’t make you the new ruler of that empire, empires end when they are conquered. Suleman was the despoiler of Byzantium, and ruler of the Ottomans.

I wonder if their internal maps showed Rome much further into the deserts of Africa.

    7. GLAD both r done.

Byzantium was a mess for centuries, I’m not even going to discuss the other.

      ancient Greece is clear.
