Of all the things to cut, this seems like an odd one to me. If we really want to have any shot at truly being rehabilitative with prisons, education infrastructure really doesn’t seem like the place to cut if you want to achieve that aim.
You will never be able to convince me that books are less important than bombs.
Let’s cut and cut at social safety nets when the country and economy are on the brink. What could go wrong?
