So basically, one country trying to destroy the world economy attacked another country willing to destroy the world economy in order to accelerate destruction of the world economy.

Is this like the Supply-side Jesus of end times?

  2. What no one seems to understand (including all the Iran-stans and people cheering on the US failure) is that geographically and demographically, just like after WW2, the country that will fare best if the global economy is destroyed… is the USA.

It wont destroy world economy, oil has stopped before, sure 20% of the world oil been removed will hurt but other areas will come online if there is enough pressure on prices.

    > Iran’s Revolutionary Guard vowed to target ‚economic centers and banks‘ that it deems linked to US and Israeli interests.

Haven’t they threatened like half the world already ?

Nothing that a rail road across Saudi Arabia cannot peacefully solve. 🤷‍♂️

  7. This is why we need to find ways to reduce reliance on Petrol.
And also live in peace and harmony without fighting everyone

  8. The last oil crisis led to many nations shifting away from oil.

Now with electrification and battery advances, I wonder if this will lead many countries to go full electric on vehicles.

  9. All the worries about oil/gas prices…. My brain wants to know where all the enriched nuclear material has been distributed to??

Iran says a lot of shit. They haven’t even finished with the damage reports yet. Which is gonna be a ongoing process. They’re not gonna regain air superiority over their own country which gives Israel and the US the ability to destroy anything that attracts their attention. Every day their capabilities are reduced.

That being said, I’m sure there is a significant number fanatical religious zealots who will continue to do whatever they can to hurt Israel and the US. Which is a huge problem going forward. Even if Iran gets a acceptable regime change those fanatical fucks won’t stand down. They might take years to get over their rage.

  11. I gotta give Trump credit – I just thought he would destroy our country. But the whole world? Well, that is something.

  12. This is the bigger problem that threatens to destabilize governments & the entire region.

Over 70% to 80% of food imports for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries pass through the Strait of Hormuz, making the region highly vulnerable to supply disruptions, according to Reuters and Bahrain Food Monitor. While GCC nations have diversified suppliers and built up stocks, a prolonged blockade of this critical waterway threatens immediate shortages and significantly higher food prices.

Did you see their demands for ceasefire? Comical

They are ready and eager at this point to fuck them up. Immovable object meet unstoppable force.

Thats going to be the winning strategy. Patience around the world will wear thin on this war fast, and that will ultimately unravel whatever “strategy” or “plan” they thought they had at the start. It was a very bad idea. There should be no wonder why this hasn’t yet been done in over 40 years until now.

It’s wild how it seems like America, and I assume many other countries, appear to have learned almost nothing from years of drone warfare during Russians ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

People are paying taxes, paying off student loans, wondering if they’ll work till 80 just to survive on beans. Then your president does shit like these.

How do you navigate a war being fought by three groups with leaders who can’t be trusted to be honest for even a single word.
