Das Erreichen des Netto-Nullpunkts bis 2050 ist für Großbritannien „billiger als eine einzige Krise bei fossilen Brennstoffen“

For everyone. Renewables are just the cheapest options on the market.

Our military is in a dire mess because of governments kicking the can down the road for somebody in the future to deal with. The current government should be praised for sticking to it’s guns on renewable energy and thinking long term rather than taking the easy way out and leaving it for somebody in the future to deal with.

    3. all the time current government of country X sets „net 0“ target for next government in 10-20 years from now, then proceed to do absolute minimum while they’re in power, very interesting idea to shift blame lol

While I fully agree with most of the article (and would like our current government to feel a bit more urgency here), one thing strikes me as fuel for the next culture war:

„People will also benefit from warmer homes, cleaner air, more active travel and healthier diets, **with less red meat**“

I am not sure the majority is ready to abandon the meat-heavy diet typical of northern Europe, even though it seems likely that too much meat is really unhealthy.
