  1. does it have something to do with firing anybody with expertise in IRGC capabilities combined with a general aversion to facts and/or reading?

  2. But <1y old accounts with adjective-noun-number usernames (and a small number of very old accounts) assured me that Iran was beaten, Israel and America had already won, soon the strait would open and oil prices go down again, and everything contradictory to this narrative was just Iranian propaganda 🙄

  3. > Mr. Trump has displayed growing frustration over how the war is disrupting the oil supply, telling Fox News that oil tanker crews should “show some guts” and sail through the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump should show some guts, get on a boat and sail through the strait.

They need to add a „I work for the government“-toggle for ChatGPT so that it gives a bit less enthusiastic feedback to foreign invasions.

These morons seriously thought Iran would be like Venezuela.

    The height of stupidity.

They thought they could assasinate Khamenei and bomb for a couple of days and Iran would come begging. Clowns

All the oil that was secured in Venezuela is now worth a bit more so I would say no their calculations are probably as projected 🤷‍♂️

  8. How exactly did they think an extremist theocracy would respond to killing their version of a pope?

  9. I’m just a reddit born peanut with no attention span… but…

Wasn’t it pretty common fucking knowledge how Iran would fight this? There are YouTube videos covering this from like 6 years ago?

I dont want the answer to be arrogance and stupidity, but it is isn’t it?

  10. Government being government, afaic. The only difference here is that usually when government decides to do or mandate a something without first determining how to do it or even if it’s possible to do it, it doesn’t put American lives at risk, much less the lives of citizens of other countries.

  11. This is just short-term. As soon as the US and Israel will surrender unconditionally, and both countries will become part of a newly built Iranian Islamic Empire under shariah law and prisoners of war Trump and Netanyahu convert to Islam and grow a beard, then the energy prices will stabilise again. Won’t be long, so nothing to worry about.

Mainstream media is painting Iran’s response as nothing but a twitching corpse, a headless chicken running around, a zombie state devoid of leadership.

This is what happens when you live in fantasy land and drink the koolaid of American exceptionalism. You think everyone in the world will immediately bow down and roll over when the American military comes a knocking

  14. Was it a „special military operation“? Then, like his handler putin, all he’d have to do is walk away. But hey, we’ll get rid of them soon enough

Iran has said they would do this and every analysis for 30 fucking years has said they could. It has literally gone exactly like everyone has predicted it would.

Miscalculated you say? Brought to you by the most inept, corrupt, stupid fucks Americans have ever brought to power? No way. Say it isn’t so.

What blows my mind is that the war is going very very well in comparison to what it could have been. This is right now a realistic best case scenario and this administration is still surprised?

Was the expectation that religious fantastics will just fold after the decapitation strike?

  18. I sincerely hope Trump and his so-called advisers will suffer the pain and insecurity they have brought upon us and on the generations to come.
