Le bloc, vous êtes rendus une vraie honte.

Ça fait maintenant des années que vous n’êtes que des facilitateurs pour le plc.

Future citizen „I disagree with this bill“

      Liberal :“That’s hate speech! Jail!“

And this is one of the many reasons why the LPC should never be trusted with a majority.

    4. This is just them stepping in and cutting down on the sandbagging that the Conservatives have been doing talking about dogs and cats in an attempt to filibuster it.

Cons really need to piss or get off the pot because each time they try childish stuff like this, more people notice.

Guys were just trying to beat the UK for the number one spot of arresting people for speech! We can do this, we can be number one in something!

All I’ve seen is fear mongering in relation to this bill. The conservative base is being manipulated to get all riled up over this.

      >Liberal MPs have been bombarded with emails opposing the bill. Some responded by accusing the Tories of spreading misinformation while others, like Scarborough’s Salma Zahid, raised concerns of their own.

So another unpopular bill that Carney is ramming down our throats for…reasons. This is just the beginning. Just wait until he gets his majority.

It’s a good thing that banning swastikas will solve racism, and that eliminating the role of the Attorney General will remove those pesky nuances and assessments blocking the way to imprison people who say words we don’t like.

All this bill does is make it so someone can’t invoke their imaginary friend to get out of hate speech.

This is The Star doing what they do best and drumming up the average Joe with a meaningless and borderline incorrect headline. Not really anything other than a tabloid anymore.

      What this ACTUALLY means.

The Parliament has voted to set a timeframe in which they will hear grievences and then once that time period is over it will move to a vote. It pulls it out of the realm of being in perpetual debate. It doesnt mean its getting rammed down anyones throat. It just means that Parliament has more important matters to attend to and doesnt want to continually waste time on a debate that revolves, largely, around the same points being brought up again and again.

Liberal or Conservative, we can all agree on one thing.. there has never been an ounce of integrity in anything having to do with Sean Fraser.

    12. The 1919 to 1945 German Liberals are so proud of the Canadian Liberals right now.

    13. I used to scoff at people calling Mark Carney the antichrist but this does not help his case by muzzling the faithful. If it came to a point where I’d have to muzzle my faith or be locked up then I’m going to jail before I stand down from my Catholic faith. Mark Carney himself is a Catholic he should know this. If you read the catechism there are things in there you probably would be locked up for under these proposed amendments such as [CCC 2357-2359](https://www.catholichawaii.org/media/224236/homosexuality_-_from_catechism_of_the_catholic_church.pdf)

    14. I don’t fuckin get it. They don’t punish people for doing REAL crimes when they catch them…

So why expand the definition of crime? So you can not doing anything about it in more instances?

    15. Nothing better than not showing up for debate and limiting it as well hey Liberals?
Why does it always feel like Liberals have their fingers crossed behind their backs.
Cant wait for them to get a majority and finally crash the ship into the rocks. Elbows Up Canada!!

I’m sure a law saying someone can’t be racist will stop the racist.

And now they will get the majority to pass this with no contest. Get ready to be arrested for holding opinions

Hot take, the main reason that LPC is enjoying such support from the general public isn’t because they’re doing great.

It’s because they have to compromise with other parties, make deals with other parties and are unable to get their dream bills passed with 0 opposition. As a minority government they have to give and take with others to pass stuff.

And when you have to compromise then its the public that wins.

If the LPC gets a majority, I promise you that they’ll lose the general public support pretty quickly because they’ll start ramming through bills they know the majority absolutely hate.

It happens every time, with both the CPC and LPC. When they are in minorities they actually do a good job, it’s only when they’re a majority and don’t have to compromise or play nice that suddenly they start to draw the ire of the general public.

There’s an agenda if you’re willing to see it. You can be assured bills like this will pass and you will have zero control, if the liberals get their majority.
