    1. Deport the separatists, since they dont wanna be part of Canada anyways ✌️✌️✌️

    2. >The poll suggests that Alberta NDP Leader Naheed Nenshi and Premier Danielle Smith’s approval ratings are neck-and-neck with Nenshi at 38 per cent and Smith at 39 per cent. Both leaders have seen a significant drop in approval ratings since May 2025. However, Nenshi went to 38 per cent from 43 per cent in October 2025, whereas Smith has increased by one per cent since then.

      >Respondents were asked if an election were held tomorrow, who they’d vote for. Albertans polled still favour the UCP over the NDP. The UCP would capture 48 per cent of the votes and the NDP 36 per cent of the vote, according to the poll. Voting intention dropped for both parties since January — the UCP by two per cent and the NDP by one per cent.

Some absolutely terrible numbers for the Alberta NDP.

    3. I mean if Quebec couldn’t separate … slim chance any other province could. It takes a lot of work and hurdles to overcome. It’s not one vote and then bam you separate.

I’m so tired of hearing about separatists when they are the small minority. Can we please stop giving them so much attention. The majority and popular vote is, people want Alberta to stay in Canada.

Saying “majority” means nothing until it translates into votes on the day of- we already know that MAGA will vote no matter what.

Typical gaslighting, from both Ottawa and the comments. Must suck when the money tree wants greener pastures.

Let’s just put this silly issue to bed already. It ain’t gonna happen.

      >When asked if Alberta should stay in Canada, 70 per cent of respondents said the province should. Only 17 per cent believed Alberta should become an independent country and four per cent believe Alberta should join the United States.

…so, 13% don’t understand what leaving would mean.

    9. GrizzlyBaron on

That’s exactly how that article title should be worded. So much of this has been 10% want to leave or growing number of people wanting to leave when the number is actually low.

    10. Any Canadian which is a separatist especially and even moreso at this time than usual is such a useful idiot for the US. We need to become less like the US if they do something we should probably do the opposite at this point.

Okie dokies. Then let’s stop talking about it and sent the separatists down south.

    12. No duh. The Albertans I know & am related to, are not morons: the Separatists are.

This is a poll of 1000 people in a province of several million. The accuracy of these polls should always be questioned.

This is not a statement in support of or against Alberta separation.

    14. What do Albertans like about UCP? they are hacking away at universal healthcare

      The traitors can live elsewhere.
They have the freedom to move on out.
They’re in for a tough surprise though when they figure out that life is likely better here..

This is basically what happened to the Republicans in America. They couldn’t win without catering to the insane minority that made up their base and now the insane minority controls everything. Hopefully Canada has enough common sense to keep repudiating these toxic loons and the normal majority in Alberta finally punishes the UCP and they stop catering to them too.
