Hopefully it was a comforting thought to the stock market while it lasted

  2. This is a pretty big deal and basically lays out how bungled this whole thing is. This was an *absolute* guaranteed development if anyone so much as sneezed at Iran, and every major military knew it. Now, the US and Israel valued the „shock and awe“ crap for the stupid Twitter demographic, completely ignoring that Iran could just like… ruin things indefinitely for the vast majority of the world.

There’s an old saying in Tennessee—I know it’s in Texas, probably in Tennessee—that says, fool me once, shame on… shame on you. Fool me—you can’t get fooled again

That’s because the war is only ‚very complete‘, not ’super duper ultra mega very complete‘. It’ll take a bit more time to add the ‚mega‘, then more time after that to add the ‚ultra‘, and so on.

Didn’t these dumbasses just guarantee safe passage a few days ago?
I can’t believe this administration still has any support at all.

  6. Prob cause there’s only one way into the strait and it’s a death trap.

  7. It will never be possible without a lot of risk. Just like yemen last year.

Yemen was able to cripple shipping until the USA gave up and made peace with them … so I doubt Iran is going to have a hard time controlling an even smaller and more restrictive area. An economic shock from soaring oil prices is basically guaranteed until the clown declares „victory“ and leaves, and Iran drops its threats against the Strait of Hormuz.

Wow, the preparation for Operation Epstein Distraction was really thorough and well thought out. Mission accomplished!

Every single day illuminates a new facet as to how absolutely off the rails my country currently is.

  10. But the oil tankers should just „man up“ and charge through the minefield, regardless. It’s a sacrifice the White House is willing to make.

    * We plan to escort ships
    * We are ready to escort them now
    * We’ve already escorted one ship
    * We have in fact not escorted any ships
    * We do not have the ability to escort ships.

This is turning into a disaster for the Trump administration and MAGA. The US showed its ass and Iran ain’t having none of it

  13. Well, Trump propped up the market for a day with his nonsense. Onto the next scapegoat excuse to boost the market…

The Strait isn’t that deep, 200 ft or so where tanker traffic traverses. There are shallow water mines that lay on the sea floor until a large target moves over it, then it releases to a depth where it can explode & break the ship’s back. You need mine sweeper ships to blow these up. Ships that can’t easily get to the area because of the drone threat. I feel like too many people think mines are bobbing on the surface or just under and can be steered around or destroyed kinetically. Not the case.

This is the Christian nationalist warmongers in the U.S. deliberately amping up the pressure on the rest of the world. They want WW3, because they believe in the prophecy of Armageddon, where Jesus will return to earth and take them all to heaven.

It’s almost like the Department of War is run by a strutting idiot news anchor.

The best strategy to navigate this issue is to never believe anything this US administration says. It’s either a complete lie, or an accusational confession.

I’m going the route of the Dolphins in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy:
So long and thanks for all the fish. So sad it has come to this.
