Pilot committed murder/suicide
It clearly was a psychopathic pilot who wanted his murder-suicide to be a mystery. The plane is somewhere in the indian ocean and might never be found.

Wasn’t the rumor that the US accidentally shot it down and pretty much covered it up?
I get the feeling USA is covering it all up and that’s why China disclosed some of the clues why it went missing as well as sped up its own aviation industry and switched more to Airbus planes.

Probably Boeing avionics failure
Lots of planes went down and a guy set to testify was mysteriously killed.

It is still safer to fly than drive
It was either aliens, it was taken out with alien tech that we learned from reverse engineering in the 50’s accidentally or for some reason, or the pilot wanted to kill himself and everyone on board so he just went some crazy route and crashed somewhere super remote.
This one has been bothering me since it happened in 2014! Can’t believe its been that long.
I just hope in the other dimension/or reality they landed their flight

Occam’s Razor
The most interesting part of this story which doesn’t get reported is that this route was an Airbus route with an Airbus configuration trained Malaysia Airlines crew assigned. They changed the aircraft to a Boeing for this flight.
