So sieht mein Garten derzeit aus. Ich werde das Gras wahrscheinlich irgendwann in dieser Woche schneiden, aber normalerweise lasse ich es mindestens so lange stehen, bevor ich mähe. Ehrlich gesagt macht mir das Aussehen nichts aus und ich bevorzuge es irgendwie. Ich weiß, dass es Unkraut ist, aber ich mag die Blumen und finde sie süß, außerdem bieten sie Bienen und anderen Tieren Nahrung. Aber mein Vater war entsetzt, als er es sah Ein solcher Garten würde meine Nachbarn stören oder lästig sein? Was denken Sie?

I like it. That doesn’t mean that people won’t give you the side-eye, but you need to decide how much to care about it.
I’m in a somewhat complex situation lawn-wise, as I have the ground floor flat and responsibility about the garden, but above me there’s a woman who would prefer everything natural to just be poured over with concrete and painted green. So to keep the peace, I do mow… but I do it rarely, and I keep „wild“ corners on the edges. I also mow around clusters of flowers in the lawn.
Ultimately it’s your lawn, your life.
Just make sure to trim anything that’s hanging outside your property and over the sidewalk. But besides that, I don’t see any potential problem.
I mean, it doesn’t seem to bother anyone on adjacent lots, doesn’t present any sort of hazard to visitors, or give any other reason for concern from what I can see. Seems fair enough.

I mean, if he lives with you, you might have to come to some kind of agreement over this, but if he doesn’t, it’s not his choice.
If you like it and aren’t obliged (e.g. by your landlord) to mow it, just don’t.
Keep it as you see fit as long as it doesn’t intrude through the fence or over the borders into the neighboring space, plus it’s good for the bees. Just be aware that long grass also helps to harbor ticks.
That’s not even nearly as messy as my garden. Last weekend I had to mow it all by hand with a scythe because I waited so long that the lawn mower couldn’t get through it anymore. It was just so full of flowers and bees that I couldn’t bring myself to mow it.
