Mein allererster Sankey, also ist er definitiv nicht perfekt! Hergestellt mit SankeyMATIC unter Verwendung von Daten, die ich während des gesamten Hochzeitsplanungsprozesses selbst erfasst habe.

Fucking hell that’s expensive! That nearly as much as my yearly wage BEFORE TAX!

    2. At first I thought $20k was a little pricey but looking through all the details one by one they’re reasonable or even frugal. Shit adds up!

The only splurge is a band but even then $1,700 sounds like a good deal and even then it’s still less than 10% of the total budget.

      Well done.

    3. Nice chart – was this like a ‘package’ wedding where a company provided/arranged everything?

Or did you book everything individually?

I hope you enjoyed your day. But I’m fairly well off and this seems like a crazy way to spend 25 grand.

So why are the bridesmaids paying for part of the wedding and the groomsmen aren’t?

    6. Wow shit that’s expensive. Most single items look not too bad, but I’d still have to cut all my hobbies for multiple years to afford that, and my wage is in the top 15%. After tax I’ve got about 45k€, and my hobbies (music, woodworking, flying) are expensive, but even when saving 1k€ a month for this it would still take 2 years.

Edit: looking through it again, there are lots of things that would be way cheaper for me though. I’d ask a friend to perhaps play some music, have a buddy take some pictures, and would be looking for a venue that’s small and cheap.

Insane that the rings, which are supposed to be a major investment, were only 1.5% of the cost of your wedding that overall cost 60% of the average UK yearly income.

    8. Age of couple? Number at dinner?

Around here bride’s parent pays largest part. Or they offer a sum for the other two to augment.

Ours cost about £6k all together in 2008. £25k is mental. Talk about everything going up in price.

    10. My wedding was about this much, kept things simple but upscale. I’ve been to a bunch of 150-200k weddings though they didn’t feel or look much different than ours. This year I’ll be going to a 1.5M wedding which will likely be significantly different.

Ours was about $20k all-in (£15,000) in 2023 for a 50 person wedding. Felt pricey but we did a lot of things to save money without compromising what we wanted. It was about half covered by her family and we covered the rest although our 2-year engagement helped us have time to save. And then the honeymoon was on credit card points!
