      He needs to not be leader again and Mamdani made a major mistake in not backing a primary challenger against him. I understand he was trying not to buck the status quo while trying to get Albany to play ball with his tax hike, but what the fuck.

      He’s a disgrace, and not just for this. He’s completely detached from the political landscape, and the desires of his constituents. He’s a younger Chuck Schumer who embraces the Democratic Party of yesteryear. He’s a fossil, and has no understanding of the present moment. He and Schumer both need to step down from leadership, and make way for the more enlightened, progressive officials who are prepared to meet the moment. Go away, Hakeem.

      I love how everyone jumps on the headline but actually reading his statement makes it clear that he is saying no. It’s almost as if the press has an incentive to pit the left against itself.

      Jeffries issue is controlling his members. If he has members that refuse to follow due to re-election issues then the only thing he can do is back a different candidate in 2028- it’s too late for 2026
