There’s definitely a McD in each of these three independent cities in Virginia: Winchester, Fairfax City, and Manassas. They’re red on the map tho.

Map is inaccurate as I can tell you with 100% certainty that Clark and Butte counties in Idaho do not have one but the map shows they do. Clark has a population of about 800 people and little more than a truck stop (no McDs inside). Butte county where I grew up and still live next to (thus I know it well) has never had one as it has less than 3000 people and its only real town is less than 1000. Butte doesn’t have a chain brand food store of any sort and never has going back at least as far as the 1970s where my knowledge begins.

This is wrong. Leelanau County in Northern Michigan does not have a McDonalds.

The farthest location from a McDonald’s is yellow here. Nye County, NV, the big sort of triangular one, has one in Pahrump down south but the northern part is the „McFarthest spot“ since the one in Tonopah closed in 2014, taking over from South Dakota.

Kind of surprised to see Maine fully yellow, especially the northern counties
Within 5 miles of my house there are 9 McDonalds. Within 10 miles there are 26.
That’s a lot of growth opportunities
Im shocked so many have no McDonald’s
To be fair a lot of those red spots don’t have any people either.
Great Plains not so great, I guess
