Had my device searched on a trip in December (and I have Nexus). I’ve been travelling with a burner phone and of course they took issue with that as well. Interaction ended when they wanted me to log in to my corporate email and I asked to speak to our legal department first.
Weird!
I kept getting told at this time last year that everything was business as usual and I was being paranoid in deciding not to risk crossing the border for this exact reason.
