      Sounds like BS. First they have to decide who gets it, which will tick off everyone that doesn’t.

      Then, they have to apportion it, during which they will either make gross mistakes, or tens of thousands will file lawsuits claiming there were gross mistakes anyway, etc.

      The cynic in me thinks trump will announce that any refunds should be a “tariff dividend/rebate” to American people right around midterms.

      For the past few months, trump has been trying to shake down the Treasury Department and the Department of Justice for billions of dollars. He’s been conspicuously silent about that recently. Seems like he’s found a way to embezzle Treasury funds via other means.

      The Administration claimed any refunds would be trivial to process for part of the reasoning why a stay against the tariffs wasn’t warranted.

      This of course flies in the face of that, but I expect the courts to once again–as they have hundreds of times in the last year for this administration–to just ignore that outright lie and hold no one accountable.

      He’s already taken the money for himself, now he will spend our money to lose a bunch of lawsuits and then spend more of our money paying back corporations that have already passed the damages onto us in prices that will never go down. Everybody gets a taste, except for 99.9 percent of people who pay for it all.
