  1. Worth noting that Israel is also not a signatory to the cluster mention ban, so they aren’t exactly on firm ground here. Also, they should look up their Dahiya doctrine for examples of what constitutes a war crime.

Oh you mean like Israel has used in every war and in between with all its neighbors?

The IRGC’s official stance on Israel is to destroy the country and clear it of its Jewish population.

Is this not allowed? Are they seriously complaining that Iran is doing something against the rules

Pretty sure I recall the US SecDef saying, “No stupid rules of engagement….No politically correct wars. We fight to win….”

So, I guess permission granted for everyone.

You either respect international law or you do not. It is regrettable that we find ourselves in this situation. I take the position that all violators of international law should be prosecuted as soon as it is feasible. That said, if a state chooses not to be a signatory to international law, I find it difficult to accept its claims of being a victim of a violation. Once again, the principle is simple: you either recognise international law or you do not.

  7. Didn’t Hegseth’s dumbass say there weren’t any rules of engagement. Sounds like Israel should read the rule book on illegal wars.

Wtf is wrong with these comments? It’s still a war crime to use them against a civilian population regardless of whether or not the participants signed the treaty to ban cluster weapons entirely.

Nobody should be using indiscriminate weapons against any civilian population, ever. If you support Iran doing this against Israel for any reason, even though the Gaza war has been fought the way it has, that also makes you a shitty person. And in addition to being a shitty person, you’re also a raging hypocrite if you complained about Israel’s conduct in Gaza while making excuses for Iran.

The US regularly uses cluster munitions. This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone.

So what if they are? More of Tel Aviv damaged? More Israelis killed? *gestures towards Gaza and Tehran

“No stupid rules of engagement.” – Pete Kegsman or whatever, Department of I Don’t Know Who Gives a Fuck, 2026

Neither Iran nor Israel are among more than a hundred countries that are party to the 2008 Convention on Cluster Munitions, which prohibits the use, transfer, production and storage of cluster bombs.

Nothing more needs to be said

Israel and the US didn’t sign the convention banning the use of cluster munitions, neither did Iran. This is fair game amongst all parties.

  14. Ummm… and? what are we using to bomb the crap out of Iran? Did they really expect them to NOT punch back? Sorry, The only people I feel bad for right now are the Iranian Civilians at this point.

Yeah based on the statements from Iran tonight it sounds like they’re going to burn down the Middle East with anything they have left. A wounded and cornered dog lashing out.

Reports are coming in on a few Telegram channels I follow that over the last 24 hours Israel has systematically wiped out more than 60% of the Iranian refinery capability and 80% of their strategic reserves stockpiles. Israel has said they intend to destroy every pipeline, every refinery, every tank farm and every drilling station in the country over the next week.

According to the US the Iranian ballistic missile launches have slowed significantly indicating that Iran is nearing exhaustion on their launcher platforms and by extension their usable arsenal.

Drone launches decreased 60% today but that could indicate either supply chain difficulties, lack of on hand stock or simply the slow exhaustion of immediately available Iranian offensive supplies.

But Iran can lash out still and target similar installations across the Middle East. It will cause a significant problem. It’s a scorched earth policy.

  17. To be honest a country bombing another has no right to complain when they get bombed themselves. Both are just as bad as each other.

this may be the most clear example of how israel operates. they straight up have a track record of defending this shit

“This is a war crime!” Said the state that started the war by bombing school children.
