      Report I saw said Israel did this but, I’m not sure if it’s accurate or if it really matters. Just seems like a bad idea to hit oil infrastructure right now if you’re the US.

      It’s not a terrible strategy really. The US hits the oil refineries so fuel becomes harder to get, the IRGC being the IRGC and thinking everything in Iran revolved around them will start taking over patrol stations and using violence against Iranian civilians trying to get fuel

      The quality of life for ordinary Iranians will decrease and attempts by the regime to try to direct that anger will fail as civilians will point out it’s not US fighter jets stopping them getting fuel but the Revolutionary Guard

      That’s a burning oil depot alright. Three of those near Tehran were bombed today, however not by US.
      Perhaps consider reposting with more accurate title?

      Smart move to blow up the Iranian oil infrastructure. Without it, and lacking foreign capital, they’ll be forced to sell rights to their oil to a company the Trump regime picks. Otherwise the successor government simply won’t be able to export their oil.

      Obviously terrible for the Iranian people and it will hurt most Americans due to effect on global energy prices. But if the goal is to maximize the interests of your political base, and that base is oil companies, it totally makes sense
