    1. I’m not a fan of these but they are objectively much quieter than helicopters.

    2. Roughly where do you live OP?

I’m assuming these are the ones coming from Blanchardstown?

Wait til some enterprising individuals start knocking them down to rob the cargo.

They’re such a net negative to society in an urban environment.

    5. Delivery to select drop points would be less intrusive. People could order and collect within a 5k radius so that the privacy of peoples homes isn’t messed with.

Night shift workers should be given leave to shoot them out of the sky with a shotgun.

All of this progress so that there will be no jobs for people left.

Surely you realise how important it is for people to get even more overpriced unhealthy fast food without leaving their couches? Stop moaning and start paying more tax to fund the increase demand on the health service.

    9. Make a complaint- these fucking things are ridiculous is so many ways. They are taking jobs off the lads on the bikes.

      >Hey bro, aren’t you an innovator bro, don’t you like that we don’t need people and noise pollute the place so Jim can get his novelty Temu mug and Jane can get her Curry? You’re not a NIMBY are you bro?

What is new, is not always best.

    11. Having lived with multiple of them overhead everyday, especially during weekends I quickly grew to ignore them, they were mere background noise. A lot of neighbours would use them so often had them quite close which would be a bit more aware of, but still easily ignored.

And whilst I never used them myself I could see plenty of benefits; much faster delivery, reduction in delivery drivers tearing through estates with kids, and clogging up already busy roads near the delivery hubs. And anything which reduces the number of deliveroo cyclists, who are a complete law unto themselves, on the roads is a good thing.

I have been hearing a lot of complaints about them for years, but having been in living with them in a heavily trafficked area, and looking at it objectively I can’t agree with calls to have them banned.

    12. The biggest investment stakeholder in this drone company the last time I checked was Enterprise Ireland so there you go lol

I get them for delivering medical supplies. But delivering fast food is just a step too far.
