A rather interesting situation is unfolding here. The US appears to be acting like an experienced grandmaster who has calculated his strategy five moves ahead. The collapse of Iran would be a devastating blow to Russia, China, and North Korea alike, and they are fully aware of this.
This is likely why Trump’s ‚blitzkrieg‘ against Iran has stalled, met by the coordinated support of the ‚Triumvirate‘ (China, Russia, and North Korea). Unfortunately, in this conflict, time is not on Trump’s side. Global economic relations and the volatility of the oil market dictate their own rules, which grow more ruthless by the day.
One specific factor the Trump administration seemed morally and logistically unprepared for in a prolonged standoff is the ‚Shahed‘ dilemma: drones that cost pennies to produce but require millions of dollars to neutralize. I hope I am mistaken, but it seems Trump may have miscalculated the endurance of this asymmetric reality
