  1. I mean….cuscus is a way to prepare a grain, in this case wheat. So if you’re using “rice” the equivalent on the other side should be “wheat”. Or you’d have to find an equivalent recipe for rice.

  2. I always thought couscous was a type of grain like quinoa. turns out it’s just grated pasta.

  3. In the levant (iraq too maybe not sure) bulgur was the most common carbohydrate. In lebanon there is a saying that goes „glory to rice and the bulgur hung itself“

  4. This is not true. In North Africa we eat wheat (bread), way more than couscous. Couscous is usually one time a week. In Morocco people often eat it Friday. Most of what we eat day to day is with bread

    The people that introduce the world to wheat and barley, eat mostly rice SMDH.
