      Then courts need to freeze people’s paychecks until they comply.

      Its real simple. Freeze funds and transactions. 

      Banks will comply with court orders because they dont know whose those accounts belong to.

      Interesting that they are trying to refund the money to businesses. What’s the likelihood of this money being refunded to the customers who paid the tariffs in the form of higher prices? I’d say slim to none.

      Businesses will keep the tariffs and the higher prices that they claim are caused by the tariffs. American consumers are getting screwed again.

      I have a feeling that Trump is just going to ignore this. He is the king and he knows he doesn’t have to follow laws because everyone in Washington has lost their spine. If he wanted to nuke japan right now he’d have full support of his base and the democrats would write a strongly worded letter condemning him for not going through the proper process. What a fucking joke.

      I’m pretty sure they could hire someone who actually knows what they’re doing for that amount of money.

      This level of utter mismanagement by the Trump administration is I guess expected. But it is infuriating.

      Through intimidation, theft, and forced sales, the Nazi regime decimated Jewish-owned businesses, with most sold for only 20-30% of their actual value.

      The regime favored large industrial monopolies over smaller, independent retailers.

      Regulations on starting and operating small businesses were tightened, leading to the closure of roughly 20% of them.

      The shift to a war-focused economy (autarky) prioritized heavy industry over small consumer-oriented enterprises.

      Are they not doing literally this, just backwards?

      What a crock! Instead of wasting money and resources, would it not have made more sense to put Noem in charge of something like this, instead of a made up bullsh*t role such as Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas? I know she is beyond useless, but she did waste $220 million of tax payer money on complete vanity rubbish, surely she could work some of that off overseeing tariff refunds, rather than heading up yet another vanity project.

      We are actively watching the destruction of the US govt as designed by the framers. When co-equal branches, Congress and Senate, refuse to do the work and the executive branch feels it no longer should abide by the courts check, you have a fallen structure.

      The answers are simple, but hard:

      1. No enabling legislator should be sent back to those jobs. Only people who will do their jobs in the design of the constitution should serve those seats. Here comes the hard part for Congress: they have to impeach and jail the enablers as proof of the consequence of abstaining from doing the work.

      2. Additional powers need to be pulled back from the executive branch – – the republicans have sent powers to a president and future congresses must box the executive.

      3. The courts need term limits for SCOTUS. The rot on the court needs to be removed. Thomas and Alito will not retire, Thomas‘ retirement means to be cut off from the right wing money he is basting in. Alito, similar story.

      The last one is also hard, we need a minimum threshold of voters to cast a vote. Something like 70% of eligible voters. I think I found only 65% of the eligible voted in the 2024 election. For the president, I think we need a 70% floor.

      We need to watch his family and audit them all. If they pull a dime from a checking account in 10 years we need to know.

      This should be a no brainer.
      U.S. Customs has the receipts. Start with the small businesses, and work upwards.

      The refunds should not go to businesses, they passed the tariffs along to consumers. The money should be returned to the consumers.
