    1. Fuck prediction market gambling. Imagine gambling on how often civilians will be bombed, lowest rank of depravity. I’m in tech and over the past few years, I’ve never wanted to be further away from it.

    2. Gambling. They’re not trades, it’s not predicting. It’s gambling. Illegal unregulated gambling for turbo losers.

Twenty year old billionaires. Totally pulled themselves up by their bootstraps. 👌

I hate how much gambling is in my life lately from the NFL, how much my nephews gamble, to the ads that run on streaming services. Gambling a few dollars for fun with family and friends is one thing, but this stuff is like the casinos kicking in the door and demanding all the cash.

Can we just put all billionaires and tech bros into one of Musk’s rockets and fire them all into space?

I think the term ‚market‘ is way too liberally apllied in this case, and intentionally so to give this legitimacy.

Even with gambling on crazy ass leveraged derivatives there is some fundamental equity, debt or physical asset at the bottom for which transactions in financial markets influence some element of the market of the good/service/obligation.

This is just pure gambling. No one is influencing the exchange between parties on the guessing if Trump has shingles or not.

Wow never thought I’d have something in common with TWO billionaires!

These people are the reason dildos kept getting thrown at sporting events. People bet on there being a dildo thrown and then go and do it so they can cash in.

This is the future of everything. People are gonna do shitty things to manipulate bets.

This would have exited a long time ago if it weren’t illegal. We fucked the country be allowing online gambling which then makes this also permissible.

Fucking bullshit. This Supreme Court is wholly illegitimate (they legalized it by court decision in 2018).

Every billionaire is a piece of shit. When can it be pitchfork time???…

    11. I wish billionaires would compete in different ways, like who can feed the most people, or who could give the most houses away, or see how many schools could fund without being involved.

    12. These ‘prediction markets’ will be manipulated and used as proof that the mid term elections were ‘stolen’ when MAGA gets blown out

So Valve is under fire because of lootboxes but we can have websites that bet on the likelihood of nukes being used?

Methinks our morals might be a bit fucked

      >Mansour, in a December podcast interview, likened his beef with Coplan with one of the most rousing rivalries in NFL history, the face-off between Tom Brady and Eli Manning over football quarterback supremacy.

Wrong Manning. I get that Eli beat Brady in the SB twice, but Eli was never in the conversation about football quarterback supremacy.

    15. No one gives a shit, let’s not do this stupid cycle again. These people have no personalities worth writing or reading about. And neither did the previous generations of Musk, Zuckerberg, Thiel, Altman, Amodei, etc. They represent yet another instance of uncontrolled wealth and power from lack of proper regulation. That’s the only part that matters.

    16. I hate that “Prediction Market” is actually being used as the name for these apps/sites. It’s just gambling taken to a beyond excessive level, I mean they literally had a bet about whether or not nuclear war would happen this year. It got taken down but seriously, what is wrong with us?
