All AI companies care about is market capture and profit. No different than the social media empires before them, and the issues of disinformation spreading through Facebook in years past.

Not to sound crass, and anyone can correct me if I’m wrong, but… I don’t think anyone in Tumbler Ridge gives a shit about Sam Altman or his apology.
Is he going to fly into the community and hold a press conference? I don’t think they want that. Is going to issue a press release? They’ll care even less about that.
This weird little prick can just change his shitty plagiarism software without fanfare and that would probably be better than any apology he can offer.

We don’t need to more strictly regulate just AI companies, everyone is running amok with the US admin in their present condition.
And if any province or the fed are thinking of trying to follow cali or ny in their OS regulations for any reason just know we’ll replace you and your careers as „why oh why was I fooled by tech bros“ podcasters can start.
The current proposals in Canada are bad enough. Grow up and make legal guardians accountable for whoever they are responsible for and fine these companies enough so that it’s a serious business decision to allow this crap rather than begging them to do anything. Put the AI fines into mental healthcare.
