Living in California, we think of the different Asian population as being totally distinct groups.
Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipino, or Korean… They are so different.

Had to go down a rabbit hole to find out why one county in South Dakota has so many Asians.
„Since 2006, nearly 3,000 Karen people—an ethnic minority from Myanmar who fled persecution—have moved to Beadle County for work, most of them working in meatpacking plants.“
IL is interesting. That’s dupage and I think Joliet?

Spot checking for Washington State, Whitman County reports 5.5% Asian as of the 2020 census, Snohomish County is at 5.7%, Pierce County is at 6.7%, I think this map is showing counties over 5% not 10%

I just checked and my town in Bucks County, PA is 13.7% Asian. Bucks Co. is right across the river from Mercer Co, NJ (which is highlighted red). I doubt we are the only town in the county that is 10% or over but lots of towns particularly in the upper county are bringing the average down.

If I had to guess, crime is probably lower in those cities too.

Can’t zoom in enough to differentiate between the NYC boroughs/counties. Curious as to which are included.
