Feels like low-cost interceptors are also sorely needed for the AA role. Ukraine has run out of AIM-9 missiles by shooting down slow moped drones with the expensive missiles. Sure they are cheap by AA-missile standards, but still too expensive to waste on drones that cost the enemy peanuts. A missile that is 1/3 the size/range of a short range AA missile, and 1/10 the speed and 1/10 the cost.
