Using civilian ships as cover? Or is the distance between those two much larger due to perspective?

Guessing this is from the strikes this morning on the port of Bandar Abbas.

Did it get attacked or drop a depth charge, as some sort of warning shot that it can mess with merchant shipping ?

I doubt the US will be bombing an Iranian ship so close to merchant ships, or that they would miss

  4. Mfers ain’t gonna leave a single ship. Not even coastal patrol boats. Rip IRGC Navy BOZO

The U.S navy FINALLY got a chance to do NAVY stuff and they did not miss.

It’s wild those ships were that close. Just completed refueling perhaps? That tanker looks to be riding pretty high in the water.

Just a guess, but with the height of the water going airborne this seems to be an underwater explosion.

Mine? Torpedo? Depth charge (if those are even in use by the Iran navy)?

Someone may know better than me, but I’m guessing ASMs wouldn’t get much penetration below the waterline to kick up this much water.

    Insights from others appreciated!

Must be quite terrifying being a civilian sailor in those waters currently

Maybe a dumb question but why didn’t we take out the whole navy on day 1, surely we knew where they were right? So why not just take them out day 1 when instead it seems like we pick 2 or 3 a day to hit

When the attack is so bad that you start speaking a completely different language.
