  1. Yeeeee, that’ll happen. I used to grab a machine coffee on the way in to work if I was running late and didn’t have time to make a real one myself. It used to be 160, now it’s 200, or at least it was; they pulled it because no-one in their right mind would pay 200 yen for a standard vending machine coffee. Admittedly it was one of the pricier ones because it somewhat resembled decent coffee (fuck you Craft Boss. I will never forgive you for convincing people that your shitty coffee milk is „craft“ and forcing all the other brands to follow suit), but even so.

And yeah, Dydo. Not exactly the best. If you have a choice of machines you aren’t buying anything in a Dydo machine if there’s a Coke or Asahi one priced the same right next to it.

  2. When I was a study abroad student back in 2007 it was really cool to get a drink from a vending machine since they were maybe 100 yen? But now it’s robbery.

At least in cities with comibini everywhere these machines should never exist to start with. They are a huge loss of energy.
