    south africa actively gave up and dismantled its nuclear weapons. the former soviet republicans didn’t really possess any nuclear weapons, they were just stationed in their territory. the C&C was russian

    Syria should be on there, because Israel took care of it in 2007, then Syria stopped trying.

    Japan and South Korea had clandestine nuclear weapons programs, both of which were abandoned. They should be blue here.

    There should be an entire additional category: Countries that don’t have their own nukes, but where nukes are present because they are letting another nation put station their nukes on their soil.

    India has not signed NPT but has civil nuclear deals with many countries. Biggest one was with USA in 2000s, which pretty much opened door to importing uranium from pretty much any western country that has it.

    The countries of the former Yugoslavia should also be marked… During the first half of the 1980s, Yugoslavia had a nuclear program or project IKS.
