      This Department of War managed to take the legacy of a fighter that was undefeated in the air and destroy that, adding a nasty asterisk it was *friendly fire*, and it was a **goddamn older series Super Hornet**.

      Not one, but 3 different airframes. There are F-16 pilots today that juked 6 air to ground missiles in one melee, and these pilots all failed to jink one missile each. And they were coming back, so they were empty of ordinance and had less fuel, so they were as maneuverable as they were going to get.

      There are helmets being thrown in ready rooms all over the Air Force and I damn well guarantee every pilot not flying sorties can look forward to nasty drills, and high expectations the next time they do joint exercises.

      The Daily Beast uses “Trump Humiliated” as the first two words of like 80% of their articles. If you want to be taken seriously, don’t feed us cookie-cutter headlines. Trump sucks, but why is this news outlet playing into the criticism that it’s just lazy, biased Trump bashing? We are supposed to be better than that.

      Got to imagine there was an awkward debriefing for the Kuwaiti pilot who probably felt on top of the world with three air-to-air kills, only to be told that, „Okay, so I’ve got good news and bad news…“

      Another completely made up headline from the Daily Beast. Can we *please* blacklist them from the politics sub? There is nothing that indicates Trump was humiliated by this, if anything he’s excited because it allows some leverage over Kuwait.

      I don’t think there could be a clearer sign of the ineptitude of our military under its current leader. Not faulting the pilots, but there had to be a massive breakdown in leadership communication, planning, etc., for this to happen once, let alone three times.

      Costing US tax payers hundreds of millions potentially.

      I really don’t see how this is humiliating for Trump and that’s saying a lot because I despise the man.

      It was an F18 shooting down 3 f15s that were not evading or using counter measures. Friendly fire has happened in every conflict we’ve ever fought.

      Are these the first F15 aircraft to be downed in an armed conflict? Friendly fire sure, but still without looking it up I thought the F15 had a perfect track record in real engagements.

      Pretty pathetic though that three modern US f15E’s all went down to a single f18C, a model the USN retired because of its age and being “outdated”.

      Just proves this shit show had absolutely no planning. If everyone was briefed properly the pilot would have expected or known friendly aircraft were going to take off from a friendly airbase He was operating in, he would have had the proper radio frequencys to deconflict targets from enemy, or contact with AWCS to verify what he was about to shoot.
