  1. > In a press conference after the FCC’s February 18 meeting, Deadline reporter Ted Johnson asked Carr why he has not expressed “the same concern about broadcast talk radio as broadcast TV talk shows.”

    > The Deadline reporter pointed out that “Sean Hannity’s show featured Ken Paxton in December.” Paxton, the Texas attorney general, is running for a US Senate seat in this year’s election. Carr claimed in response that TV broadcasters have been “misreading” FCC precedents while talk radio shows have not been.

Props to that Deadline reporter for finally asking a Trump official point blank about some contradictory/corrupt/biased bullshit they’re doing.

We need more reporters willing to ask this stuff, although I acknowledge that the Trump admin will absolutely abuse their power to kick reporters out of the press pool.

Shouldn’t be this way, of course, and it’s really only been „out of politeness“ that previous admins haven’t blatantly excluded press so out in the open like the Trump admin has, but politeness was obviously thrown out the window long ago.

  2. He’s only acting on orders from the home office. As all well placed minions do.

Because he’s not here to uphold the law. He’s here to wield it as a weapon.

Dems need to return the favor. It needs to be power at all cost, and destroying the Heritage Foundation to dust. They are just the American Taliban and they planned *everything* we are suffering.

They are terrorists in suits and ties. Make no mistake. Carr is just one of their many tools. He, and all the other co-conspirators, need to face apocalyptic levels of punishment or they will come back and finish their job of destroying this nations foundations, and eradicating upward mobility.

Modern conservatism seeks to create an in-group that the law protects but does not bind and an out-group the law binds but does not protect.

  5. It’s easy, it’s because it’s bad when they don’t allow Republicans „equal time,“ but it’s fine when they don’t allow it to Democrats. That’s the explanation, there is nothing more to it.

  6. Because they don’t want to give up their propaganda machine, but they can’t say that aloud. I guess

  7. fairness doctrine got killed in 87 so talk radio could do exactly this, and now they want it both ways

    Actions speak louder than words.

All the legit outlets should just stop repeating all their lies – it only gives them credibility – and simply continuously report on their actions.

  9. Because AM radio hate speech was critical for the rise of American fascism

  10. Spend 15 minutes on the AM dial. It’s 10000% right wing. MAGA math is useful at times.

I can – RW radio cups the balls, while non-RW radio and TV calls out the bullshit, the gaslighting and the hypocrisy.

  12. Because he’s in the Trump cult, in which „the truth is only what the supreme leader says it is“.
