      You’re also forgetting something, if we destroy the runways and the bases themselves, which bombing decoys would still do, we are still essentially destroying their Air Force

      There has to be some way we moderate against Twitter being provided as a source of „evidence“. I think about it like this… I spent YEARS in grade school being trained that sources like Wiki weren’t allowed to be cited as facts. Why cant we continue the same scrutiny for platforms?

      Yeah I’m sure it’s happened with unguided munitions on TOOs but IR also has regular video so you can switch between the rwo. You’d 100% notice it’s fake in the regular camera view when it’s clearly not 3d.

      That being said, this was something that was done in WW2 where the Allied forces put out models of planes/tanks for the Germans to attack. It was labeled as the ‚Ghost Army‘,

      Hitting decoys isnt a big deal but it did get me to thinking.

      If we see this widespread in Iran. Allies hitting all the decoys. It could be a sign that AI is having a hard time distinguishing fake from real. That would be the only thing about this that would be a problem.

      If thats not happening it would be almost impossible for both sides not to hit decoys.

      Bro this is not the first time it has happened. Different paint like roadway paints reflect or retain more heat than the surrounding surface. If I had FLIR I’d show you the zebra crossing against the asphalt and you’ll see. It’s uphill from there, far mor advanced materials and paints exist than those I know of, that may yield more realistic looking signatures in the sun’s heat.

      We are in the information age, and its difficult to discern truth from fiction. You have psy OPs, false flags, color revolutions, hacks, etc., and this war specifically is a PR war with midterms coming up, and elections happening in Israel. Way less the latter but it is a point I might add.
