    1. the end game is when people stop asking why the President was best friends with a child sex trafficker.

Or maybe it’s self evident this Iran misadventure is a terrible idea, even with a half decent plan. The absence of anything resembling strategic thought or a plan doesn’t help at all.

Rubio straight up admitted today that Israel forced their hand. How embarrassing that the most powerful country on earth is being bossed around by a tiny one that relies on them.

What should be keeping Canada on the sidelines is also how this administration has sort of forgotten about our contribution to Afghanistan. They can go play at imperialism on their own.

Sure, let’s throw a few billion dollars in materiel into Iran to shake things up and see what happens. What could possibly go wrong with that?

    6. Canada is not on the sidelines. Canada was among the first to support the mass bombing of Iran while talks were ongoing.

    7. The end game is clear. Distract from the Epstein files. Reminder that the files contain trafficking, raping, murdering, and even eating of children and babies. This is what we can’t forget and what we need to keep the focus on.

Trump said Iran would have had a nuclear weapon in one month. Humm Iraq had WMD right ? It’s just they hid them really well…

Am I the only one that wonders what the Canadian military could even offer?

Arguably, the US has better intelligence than we do, better equipment and a lot more of it than we do, and on top of that I don’t see helping the US do anything right now as politically popular.

As far as I know, other than a few boots in bases we don’t really have any material in the area.

Like, the US could bounce ideas off us or something. Another set of experienced eyes is rarely a negative. But that’s all I can think of….

Best case we’d be almost useless in this scenario. Worst case we get in the way and they friendly fire us again. Or Kuwait fries a couple CF18s.

Retired Canadian general “no clear objective and no end-game”. I would honestly question the credibility of this as more of a statement of opinion than fact seeing how I assume he’s not privy to classified military action.

Actually they do have an end game. Said so themselves. “Armageddon”
Evangelical nut jobs wanting to bring end of times.
      So there’s that.

    12. Canada better stay out of this self inflicted shit show, or Carney can kiss winning an election goodbye.

    13. Well the country that has the biggest arsenal is presided by a person who doesn’t have a real plan before going a war besides advice from Bibi. His Secretary of War has limited knowledge of war in this magnitude. Sure they have the capacity to flatten many countries but then what happens afterwards?

    14. I think they mean there was no plan ever. Just blow up bombs to distract from shitty outlook on home turf.

    15. Unless the plans were shared with that guy, how would he know? The US is at war right now, whatever plan they have is not going to leaving the room.

    16. You mean Mr. „Tear down a portion of the White House with little to no plan about what to do“ doesn’t have a plan for a war started half way around the world?

      I’m shocked.

It’s pretty clear what americas plan is. Stop the nationalization of the Iran oil reserves. iran and Venezuela by nationalizing oil production pose a clear and present threat to the stability of the US. These countries with their massive oil reserves and production capabilities could dramatically effect the US dollar which could affect inflation rates based on the balance of trade. The US wants this oil in the hands of largely american oil companies so that he have a measure of control on inflation and the value of his currency.

    18. That and we have nothing left to offer. No planes, no ships and our army is in Latvia helping them. That leaves logistics (again Latvia) and our special forces. Which I hope are in Ukraine atm…

    19. the warriors’ paths will diverge soon.

Trump lacks the attention span and the public support required for a lengthy war. He cannot put “boots on the ground”, and this is the reason behind his repeated messages of “helping” and “being there” for the Iranians when they take over their country. He is coming under intense criticism at home, not just for starting this war without congressional approval but also over potential American casualties and a prolonged commitment.

Netanyahu, just as in Gaza, has no real plan other than destruction and death. He wants war for as long as possible to keep the opposition at bay and ensure his political survival. It is no wonder official messaging about the war has been that Israel is in it for “as long as it takes” and that it will be “longer than the June war” and a “historic operation”. The more the rhetoric soars, the more the campaign itself would become one of endless, indiscriminate bombing with civilian casualties mounting.

The US has made their endgame pretty clear in relation to Iran: to bring about messianic age for Israel, by starting the armaggedon, since trump is part of gods divine plan.

      I wish I was kidding.

      https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/1rjueim/troops_being_told_to_prepare_for_armageddon_in/

So you have an unhinged US dictator in power with the nuclear codes, and Israel who is hellbent on fulfilling prophesy, and trump is eating out of Netanyahu’s lap.

Any countries that have not supported this are now being threatened with trade sanctions from the US … no wonder Canada is treading of thin ice. What could go wrong?
