      When you talk to retired investigative journalists who came of age in the LBJ/Nixon years, the first thing they’ll tell you is that the current generation of journalists lack grit and are unwilling to suffer for their craft. So much for that.

      Highly, *highly* recommend. He and his co-host do a master class in dissecting how much Joe self-radicalizes and how this misinformation spreads.

      Joe talks about things that interest him, and doesn’t really care about the big picture. My issues with him began before he started sanewashing Trump on his show.

      As soon as I find out a man listens to JR, I assume he is a misogynist. It’s one of the biggest red flags for women these days.

      This is from a host of the Know Rogan podcast. I recommend this podcast because it breaks down many of the rhetorical tricks of Rogan’s guests and examines the many lies spread on JRE. I’m never going to understand the appeal of JRE but appreciate these guys threatening their sanity to expose all the idiocy and bigotry JRE puts out in the world. The main takeaways are that Rogan lacks critical thinking skills, is not equipped to ask hard questions and platforms a lot of horrible people on his show.

      It’s much more „wow someone must either have magic info we don’t know, or someone is lying/manipulating our poor great leaders“ attached to any super mild criticism. Having rfk on recently and not really addressing anything critical is proof. Note, I didn’t listen to the rfk pod, I’m just confident in how it went.

      trump is a religion/cult. my dad is physically unable to say a bad thing about trump. if you ask him to, he freaks out, tries to change the subject, starts attacking you, hangs up the phone. if he can’t win an argument by trying to talk over you, or escape by changing the subject, he just repeats “trump has it handled, you aren’t smart enough to understand, he’s playing chess like me i’m a chess player”.

      I despise Rogan. He turned my best friend into a far right nutcase and now we are no longer friends because I can’t stand him anymore. He’s a different person now and I don’t like him or his political views.

      This is how the media is trying to trick you currently. They want you to think Joe Rogan is seeing sense. That Nick Feuntes is turning in Trump or that MAGA officials are melting down but they arent. This is just part of the grift.

      Rogan gives out the lightest criticisms of Trump and the media praises him but leave out the 30 minutes before and after of his saying this is the democrats fault as he chuckles with people in the Epstein files. They praise Nick Fuentes for turning on Trump even though his issue is that Trump is not right wing authoritarian ENOUGH but they leave that part out.

      They are trying to trick us into thinking we almost got this all turned around but no that isnt the case. Anyone who voted MAGA before is just as likely to vote for him again and none of these talking heads like MTG have learned anything more than that they need to hide their true beliefs better.

      Dont let the media fool you into thinking these people were ever the normal rational types now seeing the light. They are grifter carney fucks who just see you as a mark and are trying to move onto their next money making trick. Dont let them.

      Why anyone keeps giving him views and credit is beyond me, but anyone paying a tiny bit of attention knows not to listen to anything he says one way or the other. Just let him vanish. Ofcourse like won’t turn his back on his best grift.

      The state of journalism is so bizarre. A professional listening to 170 of an entertainer to curate an opinion of his politics is a prime example of how little we expect from our news.

      Not at all, even his latest „this looks bad“ schtick is still just those guys playing the idiots. These aren’t bad optics, or bad messaging, it’s a bad president but they can’t say that.

      They are all in the party now and the party is always watching and always listening and any sign of wavering will be punished by loss of revenue streams so they have to keep the grift going.

      The number of people who genuinely rely on Joe Rogan as their go-to source for “critical dialogue” and “honest conversations” is terrifying. Joe Rogan is is a podcaster, a formal martial artist, and a self-styled “comedian.“ Joe Rogan holds no degree. Joe Rogan has no bona fides on any of the topics he discusses. Joe Rogan is not a medical expert. Joe Rogan is not a political expert. Joe Rogan is not an economics expert. He has, at best, a high schooler’s understanding of any of these topics. Worse, he routinely platforms, conspiracy theorists, dilettantes, and hacks for clicks and cash.

      Joe Rogan is a useful tool for right-wing extremists who seek to mainstream their ideologies by drafting off of conspiracy theories and weaponizing humor through what scholars have recently referred to as “dark play.” Whether he doing this knowingly or unknowingly is unclear, but the collateral damage caused by his platform can’t be overstated: Joe Rogan is at least partly responsible for Donald Trump serving a second term and routinely whitewashes its anti-democratic initiatives. He has not changed. He will not change.
