      Donald Trump is playing with his „big guns, ships and little green men“ and Congress has gone to sleep on this. American lives have no value to him and if anyone has seen him toss out his careless description of losing American lives, I have no conversation for you.

      It is beyond me how ANY republican can survive re-election this season. For those who feel we should have bombed Iran, the region, all nations is now destabilized.

      Iran is not without weapons, since trump checked us out of the inspections, I am not sure how well our intelligence on the region is presently.

      It all rolls back to we were safer exactly 5 days ago than we are today.

      Let’s see how those stated goals are going:

      1. Protect US forces in the region – it has gotten 6 of them killed already.
      2. Protect the US homeland – Was the homeland in danger? Seems like we’re more likely to see a terrorist attack after the attack.
      3. Advance US interests, such as ensuring the free flow of maritime commerce through the Strait of Hormuz – the Strait of Hormuz was open before the attack, after the attack Iran is attacking and threatening ships and maritime commerce is paused.
      4. Collective self-defense of our regional allies, including Israel – Finally, a reason that is believable, except for the part about it being self-defense. Israel wanted to attack so we attacked too.

      Seems like a massive fail to me. It also seems like the administration is scrambling afterwards to come up with some justifications that will make people happy.

      This might be the one thing to break the rest of the non MAGA base. Service members dying for a war that no one wanted may be the bridge too far.

      People are comparing this to Iraq, but that’s not the case. Iraq was popular. Extremely popular. It quickly lost popularity, but Spring of 2003 was a very jingoistic time. This didn’t even start popular.

      Trump has never had a single plan. It took him 11 years to come up with a healthcare plan that gives you $1000 a year.

      The plan was to help Israel attack another country so Netanyahu will owe a personal favor to Trump, probably something to do with covering up the evidence of Trump’s abundant instances of child rape.

      But obviously Trump can’t write that in a letter.

      He had one plan. Everything at home is so fd and Epstein files were becoming more and more unavoidable, he had to do something to save HIMSELF. This is the plan, me me me. He raped children, how donwe not believe that. He may have done worse.

      He will burn it all down to save himself. Most people arent as narcissistic and a terrible person like him and cant wrap their head around how he operates.

      Whatever Putin and Bibi have on this guy must be incredible…

      And also, what an absolute moronically corrupt and incompetent leader we have to go along with and let Israel dictate US engagement in Iran. Any other US president would have – and HAS (with documented proof) checked Israel from doing these types of illegal regime change strikes, and starting a full on WAR.

      Simply saying „little bro, you need to calm down and remember who is the bigger power here, you WILL NOT perform such a strike, and if you do, we will not supply you with weapons and support“ was all it took, and many presidents did just that, and kept Bibi under control for the past 37 years. This time, Bibi said „it’d be a shame if all of the pictures and information we have on you was released“ so you better attack with us!“

      This is the problem with corruption, and why all of the guardrails that Trump is and has been tearing down, ignoring, and destroyed are important: That bureaucracy and those guardrails prevent this shit from happening, and the USA getting embroiled into conflicts where one soulless person can destroy the reputation and lives of our country.

      Hopefully enough Republicans will finally wake up and see their folly enabling this man, FINALLY putting him in check, and FORCE our military to cease bombing another sovereign nation that he is doing illegally from not only our country’s standpoint with war powers, but also internationally! No US allies are assisting the US and Israel because of that, there was NO dire threat to anything other than Bibi’s ego justifying the start of this WAR.

      These attacks do the exact opposite of everything he said they would do in the letter, especially the Strait of Hormuz; considering Iran closed it shortly after the attack.

      Can we limit the amount of sensationalist daily beast articles are posted? Every article is a “bombshell” or spells the end of this administration and it’s almost always a minor admission that they extrapolate int being the doom of trump.

      He said he didn’t know how long the war would last. That’s so far down the list of stupid shit he’s said recently that it doesn’t even really register
