They should’nt have let them use it in the first place. This is the next best thing 💯

I think „slam“ is overzealous. Our gov barely mentioned it other than the usual left of center all-bluster comrades.

A Base that had literally no involvement in the strikes, from a country that had stayed out of it. The drone that hit Aki was launched before the UK announced it would allow the US to use it for targeting missile systems only. which helps the whole region as soon enough Iran will have no offensive capabilities left.
Do i agree with the US action, Broadly, Do i agree that the UK, France and Germanys stance of defence only and not to get directly involved, Yes. Let trump have his war and leave Europe that is dealing with Ukraine out of it.
At least the Brits, French and the Greeks are sending equipment etc to help defend Cyprus

Wait, I’m confused, what’s the Cyprus public sentiment on the strikes? As someone from Lebanon I’d assumed you guys would be (rightfully) extremely angry at us, which is something very frustrating to most lebanese as we all would’ve preferred to stay on the sidelines of this whole mess, but OP’s article makes it seem like at least some of your government sees these strikes as a welcome political opportunity

This is the other side of „free journalism“.
Few „manly“ politicians want to be remembered, so they decide to complain about things they barely comprehend, which is immediately supported by a crowd that seeks to blame anybody for what they barely comprehend.

This is the goal of Iran. They are attacking military bases and their hopes are that the local community forces the base out.
Does a few things, breaks local alliances, breaks local defenses and gets more people on their side of the war.

I can’t imaging any Cypriot wanting the bases here. Conveniently for the UK, our focus is on the Cyprus problem (which they created) so they are left alone.
