      She is conservative. Should be expected. The Japanese government was considering changing the law having Aiko as Empress, arguments were made that Japan had Empresses before but dropped everything when princess Kiko got pregnant with a boy. I wonder how many embryos were wasted until they could get a boy.

      Even if she personally is ok with an Empress, the rest of Nippon Kaigi isn’t and they are her base.

      They say that the male emperor system began in the Meiji era, but the Meiji Restoration was a time when Western influences destroyed the national traditions of the Edo period that had continued for 300 years. Is that okay? It seems like Japan’s culture from the Meiji era is half-baked and not a unique culture that has been passed down since ancient times. It seems like there is a difference in interpretation between the emperors before the Edo period and those who came after,,,
