    1. I know these things always take longer than the general public assumes, but 2031? *Five* years for just the roads?

      Treating it like every municipal construction project: they’ll put up some road cones today to bottleneck everything until the next winter olympics, and  then come back in october 2031 to rush through everything in a month before the first snowfall.

    4. Far from Doug Ford’s biggest fan, but this is incredible for the region. The blind hate is odd.

    5. China built **45,000 km of high-speed rail over 15 years**. It also constructed **225,000 km of expressways over 25years**.

      **Germany built its first LNG import terminal in 10 months** after the Ukraine war disrupted gas supplies.

      At ***least*** 5 years for Ontario to build a 400km 2 lane highway.

      I can’t picture the route for this highway in my head
