This is refreshing to see. For a long time the vibe was Carney had them all on a whip. Good to see there’s still sane voices in the party.
I definitely agree with the MP. It’s really weird seeing the only people defend this stuff is maga Americans and Canadian Liberals. An alliance I never thought I’d see.
I see carneys statement of support an affirmation that we as Canadians condone the behavior of the US. A statement most Canadians would explicitly disagree with.
Until we stop being complicit in the US fascist bullshit we’ll never be able to separate ourselves.
I didn’t vote for Mr. Greaves and was disappointed when he won Victoria. I’m pleasantly surprised, this is the kind of statement that has the potential to build his personal support in the riding. It’s certainly more in line with my own beliefs than what the Prime Minister said.
Everything I’ve heard about Carney is that he’s a pragmatist. I wonder what possible reason a pragmatist would have to assuage the militaristic, unstable nation all along your southern border. I wonder.
Did anyone actually read Carney’s statement?? He acknowledged „disabling Iran as a force of terror“. He didn’t endorse the strikes or regime change and he didn’t commit Canada to anything.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised with almost everything Mark Carney has done so far, and I’ve known since voting for him that there would be things he would do that I’d disagree with.
This one is too far for me, I’m quite surprised and disappointed with his statement supporting the US, and while I understand there is nuance, I am still disappointed with his statement.
This is a big miss IMO.
Good to see (hear?) some sane voices in government on this.

What a ridiculous comment. This is the regime that shot down a passenger airline with many Canadians onboard. Canada should actively be supporting the attacks on Iran
