This is going to get shit on because it’s India, but our universities building prestige and collaborating abroad is probably a net positive

Did we not already connect Canada and India when we imported 9999999999 foreign exchange students?

That’s probably for the better. If they’re desperate for their money, go make it there, instead of bringing them here to compete with Canadians for jobs and housing.

I don’t see how building a campus over there is even a problem, its not like that brings more people over here

    5. So my guess is that anyone who graduates from one of these satellite campuses in India will have instant access to the Canadian job market and won’t have to go through the usual immigration protocols that other foreign educated immigrants will have to go through?

Not a bad idea, India has a large, untapped market. Perhaps more universities should follow suit.

Hmm, well at least it keeps the students there and not burdening our strained infrastructure here

I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing but I fully thought this was conservative satire

Well if that’s how they want to make money that’s great. I imagine a lot of Indians want to go to a Canadian university to eventually move to Canada so I wonder what the end game of this is—because if this isn’t going to help them get citizenship I’d question the longterm success.
