Good example of Streisand effect. I had never heard about Microslop until now, would never join a MS discord channel, but will now start incorporating it in my vocabulary. I can think of several use cases already.

I have a colleague who works at Blizzard and he says there’s immense pressure from up above to use AI for everything (quests, art, etc), and that Microslop is „scoring them“ secretly on copilot usage. They expect metrics on how they’ve used AI in their workflows, % usage overall, they have to attend lots of AI workshops. It’s so much AI usage in Blizzard. Hell, the quests in midnight read like poorly written AI slop. Who are they fooling with this BS marketing? Lmao
That means it hurts them, so it works. Good.
Banning the word makes so much more sense than delivering quality products and working on features people want and need, unlike literally almost 99% of features currently being worked on that nobody asked for.
