Just because they say they won’t, doesn’t mean they can’t if they change their minds. Will owners have to also pay them along with their property taxes to keep their lands? Will the nation share the financial responsibilities of the land too? Way too many questions and the Pandora box that the cowichan ruling opened up is going to create a lot of problems.
