We are complimentary economies. The entire fiasco was done to undermine Canada and India relationship to keep Canada from growing.

    2. I wish we had Japan as a ‘natural partner’ instead. A country with a culture based on respect and balance.

This guy puts all the previous Prime ministers to shame when it comes to foreign relations and negotiations.

I support increasing relation and trade with India. Although I am afraid India is just too far geographically to have very big trade potential. Shipping needs to cross opposite of the earth, through at least two oceans. Australia is more competitive as raw material supplier to India, while Mexico and China are more competitive as manufactured goods supplier to Canada.

Yeah, India is actively engaged in intelligence work that results in violence within Canada and actively engaged in foreign interference in our elections. A full free trade deal? No thanks. An opportunistic deal that addresses certain needs that benefit each other, sure, that’d be great. In return, we expect India to crack down on the groups who are scamming Canadians through bank fraud, phishing scams, extortion rings and immigration scammers. First stop 100% of that crap, sell us some pharmaceuticals and if that goes well, we’ll treat your textiles and industrial manufacturing on par, and we’ll agree to sell you some oil, gas and uranium. But the flood of low skill, low education, workers and students that the Indian government itself is complicit in sending to Canada needs to stop. The foreign intelligence work and election interference needs to stop. Those NEED to be “must have” arrangements that are the cornerstone of any trade deal.

Ok, and what about the thousands of Indian agents terrorizing Canadians in Canada?

As long as he doesn’t grant visa free travel I don’t care what he does.

Free trade deal comes with strings attached

Does be surprised if you see new wave of low skilled immigration from India ?

As long as this means we continue decreasing immigration/shutting down loopholes, fine. We don’t have the infrastructure to take in millions from India and it was also heavily contributing to wage suppression in this country. We’ll see if Carney returns us back to an immigration free for all-hopefully not.

The Indian government is busy making the life of its ethnic minorities hell. I guess that isn’t a concern for Carney, the vaunted liberal!

India should be an economic partner. They are a fast growing, highly consuming economy.

Lets just make sure we dont do visa free travel or agree to take a massive influx of people and instead help them stay there and work on making India better

    12. Free trade with India would be a big win for our farmers. India has had an import restriction on pulses from Canada since Trudeau’s Mr. Dressup incident with similar impacts to prairie regions as China’s canola tariff.

Pathetic that they signed deals with low level universities in Punjab and Haryana. The two states that sent a millions in the diploma mills scams. Carney should have known better. CANADA IS DOOMED. They have not one agreement with Indian IIMs and IITs…that says all.
