killing and eating? This might be a bit out of left field, but maybe they’re hungry.
Bit dramatic. Only two incidents hardly makes them bloodthirsty.
How come the dolphins are not ganging together and finning the shit out of the seals? That’s my question. Dolphins are fast and can be vicious. They’re also bigger and more social animals.

Super low volume , they found 2 and this has happened many times in other areas of the coast. Seals eat meat up to the point of cannibalism. Same as it ever was , probably been this way for tens of millions of years. That’s how long these two species have coexisted.

I am not a marine biologist, but I might venture to say that that might suggest the the seals‘ normal food source is not available.
Likely the seals usual diet has been over fished and they need an alternative. If they have to work harder, dive deeper for less nourishment, they’ll target something else.
