We should be trading with India. And we have to work with Modi, as horrible as he is on it. We have to trade with America and their leader is deplorable too.

I’m a part of the diaspora and I think Modi is horrible, even then I think this is very essential for Canada given our situation.
Most of those who are opposing this move have self-interest in keeping the status quo. They’re also mad that they’re being sidelined because they used to have a prominent visibility in the Liberal party in Trudeau era.

Poorly titled article.
Outside of a very *politically active **WING** of the Sikh diaspora*, which Indo-Canadians are against boosting trade between India and Canada?
Answer: none.
Most Indo-Canadians are not Sikh, and even most Sikh-Canadians are not *Sikh Separatists*, so the question should be: **which CBC editor is trying to make it sound like the Indian Diaspora in Canada is anti-Trade?**

Canada hasn’t done enough to stop foreign interference and repression. Trade is critical, but you can’t compromise on national security, especially when a small group of people end up paying the price.
