      Nothing about the fact that they were actively involved in talks on the nuclear issue when Israel and the USA launched unprovoked attacks?

      Whats the one things likely to prevent that kind of attack…yep, having nuclear weapons.

      If you don’t want countries to have nukes, maybe stop giving them reason to want them.

      What if we made a deal with them about their nuclear ambitions? In turn, we would be more open in the trade? Novel idea? Nobel prize for me?

      I’m not a fan of the religious regime in Iran but what other than nuclear weapons guarantees sovereignty? Ukraine gave theirs up and the guarantees were worthless. The US isn’t an ally of anyone anymore. So why would anyone trust anything at this point.

      Missing the mark a bit. Population centers were attacked by countries who have nuclear weapons. Maybe condemn violence first?

      Hilariously iran is part of a very long list of nations that have never nuked another country. The US on the other hand is on a very short list that has. They’re also on an equally small list of countries who did it more than once😂

      US really should be the only country banned from having them😂

      There’s a country with an illegal nuclear programme in the Middle East, whos nuclear stance (aside from refusing any independent oversight and regulatory checks) is to nuke its allies if they’re threatened.

      I can’t quite remeber who it is- apart from it isn’t Iran. Can anyone help? Think it rhymes with Tisreal?

      On the basis of the shit they did and what they did to the citizen, neither should the US, Russia, Israel and China.

      But those very nukes gives them a free pass to start wars away without getting invaded themselves.

      The last decades were a big advertisement campaign to indeed get nukes.

      a free Iran absolutely needs nuclear weapons, considering multiple of its neighbours have been invaded by a coalition of nuclear powers.

      If you want to make the claim that countries like Iran can maintain sovereignty whilst also not pursuing nukes, then the UK and US need to stand by their security garuntees with the countries that willingly gave up their nukes.

      You can’t have your cake and eat it too, you need to make nuclear disarment a viable strategy, otherwise you’re just making veiled threats that if they dont sabotage themselves you’ll destroy them.

      They’ve been saying Iran was days / weeks / months away from nuclear weapons for 30 years. It doesn’t seem that this is the real reason.
