I get it suggests a shortage, but are they as dangerous as a non parade aircraft?

Russian aerobatic teams have always made it a point that they just put a paint job on the planes they’re still fully mission capable. The Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds aren’t going to go strap bombs on.
